Shibuya Halloween (2016)

2021-01-14

As I visited Tokyo in end of October 2016, Halloween was happening. Halloween in Japan is a fairly recent thing (it has emerged during the last 10 years or so).

People gather around the station area in Shibuya around Halloween in dressups for some informal celebrations in the streets, often on their way to or from some party. The number of people have been increasing exponentially for every year. It was pretty packed when I was there.

During night time I shot with the built-in flash on my Fuji X100s, at a pretty close distance, and then converted the image to black and white. I really like the effect.
